Mike Hughes

Mike Hughes joined the team at Kara Bolton Homes, Inc as the Superintendent in the spring of 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. Mike seized the opportunity to change careers and pursue his passion for construction.  Mike is friendly and has a natural talent working with both tools and people. 

Mike earned his Associates of Arts degree in Construction Management from Santa Fe College in 2006 and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of North Florida in 2008.  Due to the lengthy housing recession, Mike’s career path led him away from working in the construction industry.  Mike married his lovely wife, Annie, in 2011 and they welcomed their son, Henry in January of 2014 and moved into their first home, built by Kara Bolton. A few years later, their daughter, Hayden, joined their family.

Mike enjoys biking, surfing, golfing and tinkering with tools and building projects.  Each year at Halloween, he turns his driveway into a spectacular haunted house for the neighborhood kids to enjoy as they trick-or-treat.
