Evan T Bolton
Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship fund honors Evan Bolton, who passed away unexpectedly in March 2017 at the age of 13.
Evan grew up in Gainesville, Florida and attended Alachua County Schools. His father, Adam Bolton, is a 1997 M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management graduate and both he and his wife, Kara, were past presidents of the Builders Association of North Central Florida.
He loved the water and the ocean. His favorite place was at the beach playing in the waves. He spent many days with his father kite-surfing, boogie or skim boarding and he would sleep in a hammock outside on his family’s sailboat on weekends. In fact, part of the application process includes a paragraph about the applicants love for the ocean and adventures.
This fund, honoring the memory of Evan Bolton, supports scholarships for students in the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management.
